Corona Santiago goalie Paige Simoneau was selected girls soccer Player of the Year in Division 2 by the CIF-Southern Section. Simoneau has signed with San Jose Condition.

Corona Santiago senior goalkeeper Paige Simoneau and Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon senior forward Marissa Everett were selected the gamer of the season in Division 2 and Division 6, correspondingly, because the CIF-Southern Section launched its honours for women soccer Monday.

Simoneau and Everett assisted their squads capture the very first section championship in program history.

Simoneau, that has signed with San Jose Condition, assisted the Sharks record 19 shutouts this year as well as win four postseason games via penalty shootouts.

Everett, who's headed to Or, finished the growing season with 34 goals, tied which are more within the Inland area, and registered 12 assists.

Santiago’s Mike Fleming and Temescal Canyon’s David Cox were selected the Coach of the season within their team’s particular division.

Riverside Hillcrest junior Samantha Malouff was selected because the CIF-Southern Section’s Division 7 Player of the season in women water polo. Malouff obtained a CIF-SS record 236 goals this season, enhancing the Trojan viruses achieve the section final within the program’s second college season.

Additionally towards the three area Gamers of the season, there have been 23 women soccer gamers and 16 women water polo gamers in the area who gained first-team divisional honors. There have been 18 boys soccer gamers in the area who have been selected to divisional first teams.

Hemet women soccer standout Nola Prickett became a member of a choose number of area sports athletes by generating first-team honors for any 4th straight season. Prickett, a senior midfielder headed to McNeese Condition, obtained 23 goals for that Bulldogs this year and handle her career with 74 goals.

Eight other sports athletes in the area gained first-team honors for that second consecutive season: Redlands East Valley senior siblings Allison and Madison Wieseler (women water polo), Santiago junior defender Mikayla Schachtell (women soccer), Riverside Poly senior forward Jonnae Frederick (women soccer), Grand Terrace junior defender Dani Perez (women soccer), Lake Elsinore Lakeside junior goalkeeper Tyler Garrard (boys soccer), San Bernardino Arroyo Valley junior forward Ivan Quintero (boys soccer) and San Bernardino San Gorgonio senior midfielder Manuel Perez (boys soccer).

Coach of the season: Matty West, Mater Dei

Division 2

Player of the season: Paige Simoneau, Corona Santiago, GK, Sr.

Coach of the season: Mike Fleming, Santiago
