Boston College is scheduled to experience at Penn Condition tonight within the second round from the NCAA women's soccer tournament. Stephanie McCaffrey, a sophomore an additional-team all-ACC forward that had obtained an objective in BC's first-round conquer Hofstra, ready for the visit to Condition College by tweeting a lot of jokes about Jerry Sandusky and Penn Condition and it is locker rooms. Because nobody would notice that.
ESPN reported that McCaffrey had sent 10 different tweets within 24 hrs, together with her gig finally concluding around 4 p.m. yesterday. The gags did not review very well: By 5:15, McCaffrey had lower her Twitter account. And a short while next, BC suspended her for tonight's game. Forward Condition taken three of McCaffrey's tweets, and here's one of these (click to enlarge):
Inside a statement, BC's sports director, Kaira Bates, stated, "A student-athlete used inadequate judgment and showed insensitivity towards Penn Condition that she apologizes. This kind of behavior isn't tolerated among our student-sports athletes." BC clearly overreacted here. It ought to have punished McCaffrey to be so unfunny.
