Pinellas Player of the season: Shalisa Crowell, Sr., Palm Harbor College

Palm Harbor College coach John Planamenta stated Crowell was the glue that held 2010 team together. The Severe weather were 17-2-2 despite losing nearly half they to graduation in the previous season. “She reads the overall game very well, ” Planamenta stated. “She organized all things in the rear for all of us, started the attack and obtained some important goals. She performed such a significant part for all of us within the back.’’

Fondest memory: Crowell stated it’s the visit to the category 5A condition semifinal. While PHU lost 3-1 to Oviedo, the climate is a she’ll always remember. “It’s this type of great experience, ” Crowell stated. “It’s nothing like a normal senior high school game. You’re seeing a college, using their area. It’s intense. It’s an enjoyable experience.Inches

Final stats: Crowell would be a center back on defense, so her stats aren't spectacular. But she did score the only real goal, on the second-half free kick, inside a 1- conquer Newsome that sent the Severe weather towards the condition semifinals. “I have no idea how however the ball got with the wall and entered the aim, ” Crowell stated. “It was lucky however it was exciting.”

What’s next: Crowell will attend Rollins College in Orlando and play soccer.

Are you aware? Crowell is teammates with Newsome’s Karli Gutsche around the West Florida Flames club team in Brandon. They performed against one another within the Class 5A region final, when PHU handed Newsome its only loss of year. “It was exciting, ” Crowell stated. “They were a difficult team to experience against. I believe we'd maybe two shots on goal and one of these went in. And they moved Karli up top, that is a real drag whatsoever. She’s so difficult to protect.Inches

Hillsborough Player of the season: Karli Gutsche, Sr., Newsome

Gutsche would be a goal scorer this past year for Newsome, with 20 goals for that Baby wolves. This year her role was more defensive. Her job ended up being to shut lower the offense, and she or he was excellent in internet marketing. The Baby wolves only permitted five goals in 20 games. “I’ll play wherever I’m needed, ” Gutsche stated. “I can participate in the back or I'm able to play at midfield or in advance.Inches

Fondest memory: Newsome went undefeated with the regular season and district tournament. Gutsche stated rather than dwelling on ending the growing season having a loss in the area final), she'll remember the growing season in general. “We had an undefeated season heading into that (PHU) game which means you really couldn’t request for a lot more, ” Gutsche stated. “It would be a great team.”
